VANCOUVER — Acadian Timber posted net sales of $77.8 million in 2017, a year-over-year increase of $600,000 aided by a 6% increase in log sales volumes due to strong seasonal demand and favourable operating conditions. Net income for the year totalled $30.8 million, or $1.84 per share, compared to $16.1 million ($0.96 per share) in 2016. The increase was primarily a result of a favourable fair value revaluation of timber assets and lower unrealized foreign exchange losses on long term debt.
