Ace/Sexton alliance welcomes first Atlantic dealer

Ace Canada and Sexton Group Form Strategic Alliance | CHPTA NewsAce Canada and the Sexton Group have announced that Pike’s Building Centre in Burin, N.L., will rebrand as Pike’s Ace Building Centre, taking advantage of the strategic alliance between Ace and Sexton.

“It is remarkable to see our strategic alliance program take shape in Newfoundland,” said Derek Smith, Peavey Industries’ VP for the Ace Canada division, in a release, “and we are beyond excited to welcome Albert Pike and Pike’s Ace Building Centre to our dealer network as the first Ace location east of Ontario and Quebec.”

Brothers Harvey and Jerry Pike first opened Central Video and Sound in 1984, gradually growing its offerings over the years. In 2009, the business expanded its small hardware department into a full-service lumber dealership, joining Sexton the following year as Pike’s Building Centre. More recently, it opened a 2,400-square-foot showroom addition to display and stock furniture and appliances.
