Amazon announces second Ottawa warehouse

SEATTLE — Amazon will open its second fulfillment centre in Ottawa, with an anticipated opening date some time in 2021. The warehouse will be Amazon’s eighth in Ontario and 14^th overall in Canada. “We’re thrilled to be opening a second fulfillment centre in the nation’s capital to better serve communities across Ontario,” Sumegha Kumar, director of Canadian customer fulfillment operations, said in a release. The e-retail giant is also planning to open five new delivery stations across Ontario this year in Whitby, Oakville, Cambridge, Brampton and Toronto (Scarborough).
