B.C. association donates meals to healthcare workers

SURREY, B.C. — The Building Supply Industry Association of British Columbia (BSIABC) has built a fund to support front-line workers at hospitals and retirement homes.

The fund was initiated by Ross Power of PowerHouse Building Solutions, a building materials distributor in the Lower Mainland, when he donated $2,500 to the association. Additional donations from Cedarline, Southridge Hardware, North Shore Door and the BSIABC brought the total to more than $6,500. The money was used to purchase meals or restaurant gift cards that were distributed to workers at facilities across the province.
