BeautiTone unveils Exterior Colour of the Year

BeautiTone has revealed its inaugural Exterior Colour of the Year. ‘Ebony’ is described as a “rich black with a subtle, spirited undertone of indigo”. “Dark exterior colours are on-trend for 2022,” Darryl Allen, BeautiTone’s creative manager, explained in a release. “Inspired by Shou-sugi-ban, the 18th century Japanese method of preserving wood with fire, and the Scandinavian technique of sealing wood with black pine tar, bringing black into a home’s exterior is an authentic and time-tested design.”
