BMR show goes virtual again

BMR Group will hold its buying show in a virtual format for a second consecutive year, the company has announced.

“Given the uncertainties surrounding the health measures that will be in effect in the fall and the limitations that still apply today in relation to business gatherings, we have decided to err on the side of caution,” it said in an email.

Quebec’s reopening plan, announced last month, allows for large-scale outdoor events by the end of June and a gradual return to in-person work over the summer. Other provinces, where BMR has a presence, have made preparations for their transitions. New Brunswick is looking to allow visitors from across Canada with at least one vaccine dose starting in early July, subject to immunization targets. In Ontario, large conventions are already being planned for the fall.
