DirectBuy takes over Sears appliance warranties

TORONTO — DirectBuy, a members-only club with guaranteed savings on thousands of brands, and services including interior design, installations and projects, has announced a new warranty membership for Sears Canada extended warranty customers who have been left without coverage for their appliances. DirectBuy will increase hiring efforts for former Sears Canada employees in its warranty department. All Sears customers who join DirectBuy members will continue to be covered at no additional cost.
