Giant Tiger CEO steps down

Paul Wood resigned this week as CEO of Giant Tiger Stores Ltd. Gino DiGioacchino, a member of the board of directors and a former senior VP at Home Depot Canada, has been appointed to the role on an interim basis. Wood gave no hint of his departure even as he led a tour of a Brampton, Ont., store just a week prior. Earlier in the month, he spoke to suppliers at an event held by the Retail Council of Canada at the Toronto Congress Centre.
