Grace period ends for Quebec’s vaccine passes

The province of Quebec tomorrow will begin issuing fines to customers and businesses not complying with its vaccine pass mandate. The system was rolled out at the beginning of the month, but the province suspended enforcement for the first two weeks to allow businesses to adapt.

Currently, proof of vaccination against COVID-19 is required for admission to non-essential retail settings like in-person restaurant dining. Essential retailers like grocery stores, pharmacies, and hardware dealers are not required to check the pass.
