Greater Montreal RONA affiliate unveils renovations

BOUCHERVILLE, Que. ― Lowe’s Canada has announced that the dealer-owners of Laval’s RONA Viger-Leblanc, Serge Viger and Manon Leblanc, have revealed their newly renovated store. A RONA affiliate for almost 50 years, it underwent more than six months and nearly $400,000 in renovations to overhaul its racking and to make room for 3,000 new products.

“We were motivated by the ambition to offer our customers a larger product selection in order to continue meeting their needs and following current trends in home improvement,” said Viger, crediting the project’s success to “the support and expertise of the RONA team”. Founded as a fruit market more than 70 years ago, the sometime general store become an independent RONA hardware store in 1973. Viger joined as a part-time employee a few years later, rising through the ranks until he and his wife assumed ownership in 2011.
