ST. JACOBS, Ont. — Prime Minister Stephen Harper made a surprise appearance to a gathering of some 1,000 Home Hardware dealers yesterday. As part of his election campaign, he spoke at Monday morning’s meeting of dealers that preceded day two of Home’s Hardware Fall Market. His presentation was aimed squarely at issues related to small business and home ownership, and the centrepiece of his message was the Conservatives’ previously announced intention to resurrect the home renovation tax credit.
