SAN FRANCISCO — Home Depot USA has dropped its antitrust suit against DuPont de Nemours Inc., suggesting the parties are prepared to settle. The suit alleged that DuPont and Millennium Inorganic Chemicals Inc. conspired with two other chemicals firms to fix the price of titanium dioxide, a paint ingredient. A federal judge dismissed the case last week on the same day the parties jointly filed a submission requesting her to do so, but the companies did not respond to requests for comment to confirm a settlement.
