ATLANTA — Home Depot reported that comparable sales rose by 6.3% in Q2, leading the retailer to its highest ever quarterly revenue as home values and consumer spending rose. Total sales amounted to $28.1 billion. Net earnings of $2.7 billion, or $2.25 per diluted share, rose from $2.4 billion ($1.97) a year ago. The company updated its guidance for the year and now expects sales to rise by about 5.3%.
