Home Depot sales pass $100 billion mark in 2017

ATLANTA — Home Depot posted annual sales of $100.9 billion, up 6.7% from fiscal 2016. Total comparable store sales for the year rose 6.8%, and 6.9% at U.S. stores only. Annual EPS of $7.29 represented a 13% increase from the $6.45 reported for fiscal 2016. For the fourth quarter, net sales increased by 7.5% to $23.88 billion, exceeding estimates of $23.66 billion. Profits edged up by 2% to $1.78 billion, hampered by $127 million in costs related to the U.S. tax revisions.
