MOOSONEE, Ont. — The Mushkegowuk Development Corporation (MDC) in Moose Factory, Ont., owned by First Nations members of the Mushkegowuk Council, has purchased MDC Supply GP, which operates as Great North Builders. Great Northern primarily served the First Nations of the James Bay area for 40 years, until founder Jack Hood retired and closed the business at the end of 2018. MDC will manage the store, which is in Moosonee, Ont., and is a member of Castle.
