Peter Norman talks housing and recovery at Hardlines Conference

Retail sales continue to be hot even as the housing market shows signs of stabilizing, economist Peter Norman told this year’s Hardlines Conference. “It’s hard to remember how much we lost,” Norman reflected, “because the recovery was so fast and enveloped us so fully.” That said, he noted that economic recovery had not been as strong in Canada as in the U.S., where it was “deeper and steeper.”
