OTTAWA — Bricks-and-mortar stores, always a popular holiday shopping destination, are likely to get a boost from the Canada Post strike, according to a retail expert. With deliveries facing lengthy delays, Brynn Winegard told the CBC, even die-hard online shoppers will be drawn to physical stores. The added benefit to retailers could be compounded by shoppers’ tendency to browse in store, often leading to additional impulse purchases.
