Retail sales increased 1.1 percent to $63.1-billion in June, StatCan reports, the sixth consecutive increase. Sales were up in eight of 11 subsectors, representing 76.8 percent of retail trade. Higher sales at gasoline stations and motor vehicle and parts dealers led the increase. LBM and garden equipment sales were up 0.1 percent from May and 9.1 percent from June 2021.
