Sherwin-Williams posts record quarter

CLEVELAND — The Sherwin-Williams Co. announced that Q1 sales increased 7.3% to a record $2.76 billion, including a change in revenue classification, which increased sales in the quarter 2.2%. Same-store sales rose 7.5% in the quarter, while EPS rose 44.6% to $2.53. Net sales in the Paint Stores Group increased 12.1% to $1.81 billion, owing primarily to higher architectural paint sales volume, selling price increases, and the impact of the change in revenue classification.
