Quebec’s Panier bleu website, founded to help consumers find local alternatives to Amazon, went transactional last October. The 2022 NETendances report, published earlier this month by the Académie de la transformation numérique, explores the site’s impact on e-commerce six months on. In a web survey of just over 1,000 adults, online shoppers said they use Panier bleu for an average of seven percent of their purchase volume. The majority of those reported used it for holiday gift shopping.
