U.S. LBM, garden sales rise in October

WASHINGTON — U.S. retail sales inched up by a less-than-expected 0.3 percent in October, according to data from the U.S. Commerce Department. In a poll, economists had told Reuters they expected sales to rise by 0.5 percent. At building material and garden retailers, however, sales were up by six percent.
