U.S. reduces tariffs on softwood lumber

Following a fresh preliminary review by the U.S. Commerce Department, softwood lumber tariffs will decrease for most Canadian producers. West Fraser’s rate however will rise to 13.09 percent, from 11.14 percent. For most other companies, the rate will fall to 11.64 percent from 17.91 percent.
