Young racer returns to NASCAR with Canac colours

QUEBEC CITY — Raphaël Lessard will return to the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors series sporting the colours of new main sponsor Canac when the races resume this week. The 18-year-old from Beauce, Que., had competed in just two events of the season when it was suspended due to COVID-19. He acknowledged that racing without spectators will be an unusual experience. “Not feeling the crowd effect from the stands will be special. The atmosphere will be different and the place will be empty,” Lessard said, adding that he is “naturally looking forward to Canac coming with us for the first time as a main partner.”
