MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Lowe’s has acknowledged it will cut an unspecified number of jobs in delivery, part of the retailer’s move to a third-party service, the Charlotte Observer reports. The stores impacted, in an undisclosed number of markets with rising demand for delivery, had previously been using a mix of third-party contractors and in-house delivery workers. The layoffs follow the outsourcing earlier this summer of some 125 corporate tech jobs, mostly at the company’s corporate offices, to Bangalore, India.
