BOUCHERVILLE, QUE. — Soprema has announced the construction of its first North American extruded polystyrene insulation factory. The 178,000-square-foot facility in Sherbrooke is due to open in April, and is expected to generate some 50 new jobs in its first three years of operation. It will join Soprema’s four existing plants in Europe. Sherbrooke Mayor Bernard Sévigny hailed the announcement, saying his administration’s industrial development project paved the way for the arrival of businesses like Soprema.
