U.S. housing starts hit six-year high

WASHINGTON — Housing starts in the U.S. jumped 22.7% in November to 1.09 million units seasonally adjusted, the highest they’ve been since February 2008. According to the U.S. Commerce Department, November was only the second month since the housing crash that starts have exceeded one million.
