BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — Vivaco groupe coopératif is closing its Inverness, Que., BMR store after facing recruitment struggles and flagging sales. The store has been operating on weekdays only to serve its primarily agricultural clientele. Vivaco Managing Director Gervais Laroche said that the costs that would be involved in making the building fit for purpose were another factor. Unlike other BMR stores, the Inverness location faced constraints, including a lack of parking, that would hinder its transformation into a convenience store/gas bar/hardware format.
