We are sad to announce the passing of Pierre Racette on February 1 at the age of 59. He passed away peacefully after a long struggle with illness. Pierre had a long career in the building materials industry, ending with his time at Taiga Forest Products. He joined that company in May 2003 as Manager of the Quebec Region based out of Boucherville. Before that, he worked with companies such as Masonite Corp., Westroc Industries, RONA, and Sodisco-Howden. Pierre was an inspiring and motivated leader—and a good friend to HARDLINES. He leaves behind a loving wife of 34 years, Julie Simon.
