SELBYVILLE, Del. — A new study says sales of leaf blowers in Canada are likely to exceed US$250 million in 2025 as the lawn care industry grows. Global Market Insights Inc. says the retirement of the baby boomer generation will be a boon to the garden equipment segment. Some three-quarters of Canadians have a lawn at home. The leaf blower is not without its detractors, however. In May, a segment on CBC’s Sunday Edition profiled a campaign for a ban on the device, citing concerns about air and noise pollution.
