WOODRIDGE, Ill. — Globe Union Industrial Corp. announced it is expanding its manufacturing capacity with the purchase of Namce, which is based in Mexico’s Coahuila state and produces vitreous china. The acquisition of Namce’s factory provides a base for Globe Union’s Gerber Plumbing Fixtures business to grow and diversify, improving the supply of vitreous china in North America. Namce’s current management team will be retained, reporting to Globe Union’s North American leadership. “We are committed to our loyal customer base, who over the past 87 years have provided the basis to allow this most significant investment to become a reality for our stakeholders,” Globe Union CEO Todd Talbot said in a release. The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2019, following regulatory approval.
