SAINT-GEORGES, Que. ― A youth employment organization has honoured a local Canac store for its commitment to hiring young students. Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de Beauce-Sud awarded the store a prize for its commitment to educational success as part of the organization’s School Retention Days, held last month. It cited the store’s proactive involvement with youth and respect for their limits in granting the award. Mayor Claude Morin was among the dignitaries on hand for the presentation of a plaque made from recycled classroom desks.
