TORONTO — Canadian Tire Corp. has launched a $5 million Canadian Tire COVID-19 Response Fund in support of workers on the front lines of Canada’s health care and community services. The fund is composed of two donations of $1 million each to the Canadian Red Cross and United Way/Centraide Canada, together with up to $3 million worth of personal protective equipment and essential products from across CTC’s banners. “With such a large national footprint in communities across Canada, and the backing of our family of companies, we are in a unique position to provide front-line and community workers with products that will help keep them safe and effective on the job,” President and CEO Greg Hicks said in a release.
