Acadian Timber Corp. narrows loss in Q1

VANCOUVER — Acadian Timber Corp. says it Q1 loss narrowed to $3.7 million, compared to $6.2 million in 2019. The forestry firm reported sales of $31.4 million, up from $30.9 million a year ago. The change reflects a two percent decrease in the sales volume of logs, more than offset by a one percent increase in the weighted average selling price and increased timber services activity. Operating costs and expenses for the quarter totalled $23.1 million, compared to $22.2 million during the prior year period.
