SEATTLE — Upscale retailer Nordstrom, which is opening its first Canadian store this year in Calgary, has postponed introducing its discount banner Rack into the country. Previously slated for 2015, the sister brand’s arrival will now take place around 2017. Representatives of the company, who have been adamant in ruling out “Nordstrom Lite” for Canadians, now want to take additional time to plan their entry and learn from Target’s arduous experience, Report on Business notes in The Globe and Mail.
