TORONTO — Target’s first downtown Toronto store is slated for October 2016, between the city’s waterfront and historic Union Station. The two-storey store will anchor the retail section of Harbour Plaza, a huge new residential and retail complex under construction near the Gardiner Expressway. At 145, 000 square feet, the location will not be a smaller format like some other urban stores, but will offer the full gamut of merchandise to the growing number of waterfront condo-dwellers, The Toronto Star reports.
