ATLANTA — The Home Depot has reached an agreement with Enel Green Power to purchase renewable energy from a new plant Enel is slated to open in Texas next year. The hybrid Azure Sky Solar + Storage plant is expected to generate 586 gigawatt hours (GWh) of energy each year. Home Depot has set a goal of making or purchasing 335 megawatts (MW) of alternate energy projects by 2025. It will receive 75 MW, enough to power 150 stores, annually from Enel’s new facility.
