CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Honeywell’s Q3 net income fell by 53 percent to $758 million, with sales down 14 percent to $7.8 billion. Nevertheless, earnings of $1.56 per share, excluding special items, were better than the estimated $1.49 per share. Organic sales in the Honeywell Building Technologies segment were down 8 percent due to lower demand for building products and delays in building solutions projects
