U.S. construction spending inches up in September

WASHINGTON — Total construction spending in the U.S. for September was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,414 billion, up 0.3 percent from August. The rate is up 1.5 percent over September 2019’s estimate of $1,393.3 billion. Year-to-date spending for the first nine months is up 4.1 percent. (U.S. Census Bureau)
