Ottawa-based e-commerce platform Shopify is seeking to double its engineering personnel in 2021, the Canadian Press reports. The company announced on its website that it will fill 2,021 technical positions this year. In support of that target, it has named Cathy Polinsky as VP of engineering. Polinsky was most recently chief technology officer at Stitch Fix, an online personal styling service.
“I’m thrilled to join Shopify to tackle the limitless opportunity of levelling the playing field for entrepreneurs and helping to make a better shopping experience for consumers,” she said in a statement by email.
