Matériaux Armand Dumaresq in the Gaspé village of Rivière-au-Renard has gone independent. Owners Camil Bouchard and Guy Samson have not ruled out joining a banner in the future but are not rushing into a new relationship. Samson and Bouchard took over the 48,000-square-foot store in 2014 and rebranded it two years later. At the 2017 Outstanding Retailer Awards, the business was named Best Building Supply/Home Centre (under 15,000 square feet).
