Quebec RONA dealer to open second store

Lowe’s Canada has announced that Karine Anctil, owner of the RONA store in Rivière-du-Loup, Que., has acquired a building centre in La Pocatière. The site, which was home to a hardware store until this past December, will reopen under the RONA banner in the spring.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have seen several riverside communities lose their local stores,” Anctil said in a release, “and we are proud to be able to ensure that the citizens of La Pocatière and the surrounding area will continue to have access to the products and services they need.”

Once renovations are finished, the 22,000-square-foot store will include a 10,000-square-foot indoor lumberyard with drive-through service.
