Labour shortages have retailers looking to increasingly younger recruits, Le Journal de Montréal reports. At just 14 years of age, Tristan Tremblay has been working for the past four months at Sagnipro in Chicoutimi, Que., where his tasks include arranging shelves. The retail space comprises a service station, convenience store, and hardware dealership.
“My father started working young and he wanted me to start working young too,” Tremblay told the newspaper. “I had two or three days of training since I started working. It’s a bit repetitive—I do the same tasks—but it’s going well.”
