Walmart Canada opens first Maritime warehouse

Walmart Canada is hosting an official groundbreaking ceremony this week for its first distribution centre in Atlantic Canada.

The 223,000-square-foot warehouse in Moncton is slated to open in the fall of 2022. It will provide fresh and frozen groceries to 43 of Atlantic Canada’s Walmart stores. Visiting officials will include Premier Blaine Higgs, Mayor Dawn Arnold, and Daniel Allain, New Brunswick’s minister of local government.
