NEW YORK — Target has ousted the president of its Canadian operations, Tony Fisher, as part of its efforts to rescue the banner in Canada, according to the Associated Press. His replacement is Mark Schindele, a 15-year veteran of the U.S. firm, most recently as senior VP of merchandizing operations. Under Fisher, Target opened its first 100 stores in Canada, but the venture has been plagued by inventory woes and complaints of overpricing. Schindele’s appointment comes just two weeks after the sudden exit of CEO Greg Steinhafel.
