A fire broke out on Thursday at a log yard owned by West Fraser Timber in Chetwynd, B.C. Employees at the adjoining mill spotted the blaze in the early afternoon. There were no injuries and the company said in a statement that the fire was contained to the yard and posed no threat to the mill. According to the local RCMP detachment, no foul play is suspected.
