Explosion hits Quebec lumber facility

At least eight people were admitted to hospital yesterday after an explosion at a Beauceville, Que., lumber treatment plant. Provincial police responded to a call around 7:30 a.m. at Bois Ouvré de Beauceville. A nearby building was designated to shelter those evacuated from the plant. Authorities did not release further details on the condition of the injured workers.
