U.S. President Joe Biden will welcome his Canadian and Mexican counterparts to a summit in Washington, D.C. next week, as concerns around protectionist U.S. policies grow. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and President Enrique Peña Nieto will join Biden on Nov. 18 to discuss issues such as “Buy American” policies supported by the White House. Trudeau hailed Biden’s election a year ago, but the new administration has not yielded on the lumber tariffs implemented under Donald Trump.
