Ikea Canada this week released its 2021 Summary Report, which details the retailer’s progress during another year marked by pandemic challenges. Total sales increased 11.8 percent to $2.59 billion for the fiscal year ending Aug. 31. Online sales soared by 161.5 percent to $969.48 million.
At the same time, the company announced the location of its new small-format store in Toronto, at the corner of Yonge and Gerrard streets, just steps away from the Toronto Eaton Centre. It also launched Ikea Design Studio, a new small-format concept offering dedicated studio space for personalized design and planning services with Ikea design experts.
