TORONTO — Target is looking to turn around its Canadian operation, but a web store won’t be on the first string of strategies, the company’s interim CEO says. “It won’t be this year, no, but it’s definitely on our list of activities,” John Mulligan told a media conference call. “Right now we’re just very focused on improving the operations and getting our sales moving [in] the right direction.” Target’s Canadian launch was plagued by miscalculations of the new market, including underestimating the importance of online appliance shopping, the Canadian Press reports.
