Lowe’s Canada has been named 2021 Leader in Sustainability for the fourth year in a row and tenth overall by Call2Recycle. The organization operates Canada’s largest battery collection and recycling program. In 2021, efforts across Lowe’s, RONA, and Réno-Dépôt stores helped ensure over 125,000 kilograms of used batteries were collected for safe disposal diverted from landfills. That was a 28 percent increase compared to 2020.
